DuckDuckGo bid for…. search dominance
 After an unexpected turn of events, DuckDuckGo have outbid Bing and other providers do be the default search operator for Android devices in the EU. As people are getting more concerned about privacy and third party data usage, the main questions on everyone’s mind is how will this change search behaviour going forwards? Facebook gets a face lift
Facebook has announced that a Desktop redesign will be rolled out in the upcoming months. Changes include, the much loved ‘Dark Mode’, more prominent Facebook stories and much, much more.
Twitter’s new ad format
Keeping it social, Twitter is rolling out a new ad format which will appear at the top of the explore page. The format is called “Promoted Trend Spotlight”, and if we go by anything Twitter said; this promises to be a real game changer.
Adiós Push Notification
If like me you spend a lot of time on the internet, you definitely mentioned one or two profanities when faced with out of control websites push notifications. But fear not! Google’s Chrome 80 has announced that as of today, push notification will automatically be blocked. hooray!
